The Trade-Offs Are Worth Managing

Simulation-based learning requires more facilitation than a standard lecture. It can be noisy, unpredictable, and occasionally uncomfortable. Some students may initially prefer the certainty of being told exactly what to think. Faculty may worry about fitting an activity and a debrief into an already crowded syllabus.
