COURSE DESCRIPTION
Contemporary organizations have to contend not only with best practices regarding profit, lawful practices, ethical concerns, and an ever increasing transparency to the general public and their consumers in all levels of their activity.
In the transparent world in which we live, sound ethical choices cannot be divorced from sound commercial reasoning and vice versa. The enlightened and successful organization maintains economics and ethics on the same decision-making plane applying sound methods for ethical business outcomes. It also carefully manages the tone, attitude and language that provide “Cultural Permission” shaping the way employees think and behave.
With this in mind the goal of this course is to discuss the intersection of emotional intelligence, said to be the 21st century’s most vital skill, and ethical practices in order to navigate difficult and pressing issues facing contemporary organizations.
